A large (mostly) gem spodumene from Afghanistan. As best as I can tell, the crystal is a double terminated floater.
These days, crystals of this color are somewhat less likely to make it to the market. To me, it is a gemmy and superbly well formed example of this color of spodumene from the area, though among the Pak/Afghan dealers the color is considered too weak for gem purposes. As a result, the majority of such pieces are sent to Lahore to be irradiated-- resulting in the many bright green crystals that are now being offered... (annoyingly enough, that treatment is not usually disclosed)
