A group of colorless, though slightly rougher, fluurites on matrix. From new finds at the Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia.
A decently sized (though not perfect) crystal of lazurite on a marble matrix. Very, very cheap for what it is.
Pyrite crystals on matrix from Romania.
When I first started collecting, Romanian minerals were as plentiful as the comparable Peruvian material today. This days, many of the Romanian mines are closed, and the material is not as common.
Numerous tiny red rhodochrosite crystals on matrix. As is typical of specimens from this locality, there are multiple species present here, including ancyllite.
As a side note, Mindat lists 384 species as being found at this location, of which it is the type locality for a staggering 58 species. For comparison, Gebhard’s Tsumeb II lists 242 species at Tsumeb (Mindat gives 264, with 61 type localities.)
A specimen of rhodizite-londonite, with a couple pale yellow, nearly white crystals on matrix.
Decent reference material of this rare species.
A group of iron oxide stained, scalenohedral calcite crystals from Mexico. Contacted on the reverse.
A thumbnail specimen of terminated stephanite, from a recent find at the Porco Mine, which has been operated since the 1500's.
